Day 15: Shower + Bath

Updated: May 24, 2023

30 Day Spring Cleaning Challenge!

Today's One Thing is shower and bath supplies - any or all of them (this is your challenge after all!).

Choose a category - maybe shampoo, maybe all cleansers, maybe soap...something manageable. There's also razors, lotions...anything bath or shower related you want.

You can always do another category when you finish the first one - the important thing is to finish what you begin.

  1. Collect EVERYTHING in that category

  2. Choose the ones you love/use the most

  3. Toss or donate ones you don't love/use

  4. Clean

  5. Organize + beautify

  6. Enjoy!

After you decide what to keep, wipe them down, along with where they live.

Maybe go nuts and use baking soda to scrub the tub and shower walls, maybe even use olive oil on a soft cloth to shine the stainless steel - whoa!

I even went so far as to take out my shower drain to clean out the gunk (YUCK, but it drains nicely now!).

Make a home for the items you keep that's easy to put away (number one!) and pleasing to your eye...

Maybe they go back to their old homes, or maybe there's a new, more creative and/or pleasing home you can create. Or maybe they can be organized in a whole new way.

Let your Self play, let your Self go, let your Self have fun! Yes, this can be fun if you let it be...

Give your Future Self the gift of a pleasant self care experience the next time(s) you take a shower or bath...you deserve it! (Even if a mean voice in your brain says you don't).

About a year ago I came across the shower caddy I have now and I LOVE it!

I didn't know I could love a shower caddy so much - the way I can store my shampoo, conditioner and body soap upside-down, how I can hang my razor and washcloth (or my reminder to do a breast cancer check)...it's all so handy!

This is the shower caddy I have. I don't have any connection to the sale of it, I just like it and wanted to share in case you love it as much as I do :)

As always, if this One Thing doesn't jump out to you, choose your own One Thing to clear, clean and/or organize that will make this day better and brighter...

And let me know how it goes! I love hearing about and seeing photos of organizing/tidying projects!

xo,

Spring
